As a Senior Manager Data & Cloud Engineering, you are more than an architect or project manager. You are a trusted advisor to decision-makers, connecting business, architecture, and engineering to deliver solutions that combine technological excellence with sustainable business value. You bring together strategic thinking, technical expertise, and an entrepreneurial mindset while supporting our clients from the initial idea through successful implementation. 

You take responsibility for complex client engagements, strengthen long-term client relationships, and actively contribute to the further development of our Data & Cloud Engineering portfolio together with our team. At the same time, you support the professional growth of our colleagues and help further strengthen our engineering practice. 

You build modern data and cloud platforms 
  • You design and implement modern data and cloud platforms that serve as the foundation for analytics, AI, and data-driven business processes.
  • You develop scalable data architectures for batch, streaming, and real-time workloads on leading cloud platforms.
  • Youestablishbest practices for Cloud Engineering,Infrastructureas Code,automation,security, andDataOps.
  • You evaluate emerging technologies and transform innovations intoscalable production systems and services
You connect business and engineering 
  • Youanalysecomplex business requirements and translate them into scalable cloud and data architectures.
  • You bring together management, business departments, and engineering teams to create a shared understanding of the solution.
  • You support clients inmodernisingtheir data landscape and migrating to modern cloud environments.
You lead complex transformation programmes 
  • Youare responsible forthe successful delivery of complex Data and Cloud Engineering projects from a technical, commercial, andorganisationalperspective.
  • You take overall responsibility for project delivery and governance, ensuring that scope, quality, budget, and timelines consistently meet client expectations.
  • You lead interdisciplinary teams ofData-, Cloud-, undSoftware Engineers.
  • You guide clients from architecture and design through implementation to the successful operation of their platforms.

You develop clients, business, and people 
  • You build trusted, long-term client relationships and strategically develop existing accounts.
  • You identify new business opportunities and contribute to proposals, client workshops, and pitches.
  • You coach Consultants and Engineers and support their professional and personal development.
  • You bring market insights into our portfolio and actively contribute to the further development of our Data & Cloud Engineering practice

Who you are

  • You have several years of experience in consulting or leading complex Data, Cloud, or platform transformation projects.
  • You bring strong expertise in Data Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or the development of modern data platforms.
  • You have excellent knowledge of leading cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud) as well as modern Data Warehouses, Data Lakehouses, and big data technologies.
  • You have hands-on experience with Python, SQL, modern data integration frameworks, ETL/ELT pipelines, and workflow orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow,Dagster, or Prefect.
  • You are familiar with Infrastructure as Code, container technologies, Kubernetes, and modern DevOps and Data Ops practices.
  • You understand how to translate business requirements into scalable cloud and data architectures.
  • You have experience leading interdisciplinary teams and communicating effectively with stakeholders at management and C-level.
  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset, enjoy developing client relationships, and actively contribute to business development.
  • You hold a degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable field and have excellent communication skills in both German and English.
