Senior Consultant Energy & Utility (all genders)

• Conducting in-depth process analyses and identifying digital opportunities along the energy value chain
• Developing governance structures and strategic transformation concepts to support sustainable business change
• Taking ownership of digitalization initiatives across the entire energy sector value chain - from generation and transmission to distribution, sales, and customer service
• Designing and implementing innovative solution approaches, target operating models, and comprehensive program and project management frameworks
• Leading projects through all phases — from strategy development to full implementation
• Developing and introducing management tools as well as IT/OT convergence solutions, such as Smart Grids
• Analyzing and optimizing organizational structures, business processes, and IT architectures to enhance efficiency and agility
• Supporting pitch preparation and contributing to the development of tailored client solutions

You are analytical, communicative, and curious. You enjoy working in a team and bring high levels of initiative along with an entrepreneurial “can-do” mindset. In addition, you stand out through the following qualifications and traits:

• 2–5 years of consulting experience, including experience in the energy sector

• Practical experience with an energy provider or in industry-relevant projects

• University degree in business, energy-related studies, or a relevant science/engineering discipline (e.g., Energy Economics, Renewable Energy, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics)

• Strong affinity for digitalization and information technology

• Solid knowledge of standard consulting methods and tools

• Passion for innovation and willingness to take responsibility

• Strategic mindset and deep understanding of business processes in the energy sector

• Enthusiasm for implementing the energy transition

• Language skills: fluent in German (C1) and business-fluent in English

• Willingness to travel 

Additionally advantageous:

• Knowledge in metering, IT/OT convergence, and the selection and implementation of relevant platforms (ServiceNow, Salesforce, Jira)

• Experience in defining and executing IT, Cloud, and AI strategies

• Familiarity with project management methodologies (PRINCE2, Agile, Six Sigma) and IT Service Management (ITSM)

• AI skills and initial experience in establishing and implementing AI initiatives
